The person who hit you bought only so much insurance, and the recovery can stop there. At that stage the firm tries to get you most or all of what that policy holds, which is the first of the two points he makes.<\/p><p>What you can control is your own policy. He calls this taking matters into your own hands. Protection through your own carrier matters when injuries are severe and the other side has too little, or none at all.
