Laura Rivas

Laura Rivas was born in San Antonio, Texas but grew up in the greater Dallas area in Allen, Texas. Laura obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas in 2012. After graduation, Laura worked in the biochemistry field for a year, but quickly decided to transition and dedicate her career to law. Laura attended St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas where she graduated in 2016 with her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree with honors. During law school, Laura interned as a law clerk for a corporate/transactional law firm, criminal defense firm, but found her passion for personal injury. Prior to joining J. Alexander Law Firm, Laura gained valuable experience representing plaintiffs at two other Dallas-based personal injury firms. She continues to pursue her passion for litigation and cases involving motor vehicle accidents, 18-wheeler accidents, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and premises liability. Laura advocates for her clients with conviction and skill and works hard to be there for her clients every step of the way until they receive the justice they deserve.

In her free time, Laura enjoys traveling, concerts, being outdoors, and hanging out with her friends and family.
