You should be healing, not negotiating with an insurance company. From your first call, the crash report, the adjuster, and the paperwork become ours, not yours.

Most people picture a courtroom. The truth is, most Houston car accident cases never see one; they settle once the evidence is on the table. Here is the path your case actually takes, from the first call to the check in your hand.
After your free call, we open the claim, gather your crash report and medical records, and deal with the adjuster so you can heal, not chase paper.
If the offer is unfair, we file your lawsuit in Harris County and start discovery, where both sides must hand over the evidence and the real records.
Most cases settle at mediation once the proof is on the table. If the insurer still will not pay, we take your case to a Harris County jury and fight.
In most Texas crash cases, you have two years from the date of the accident to file (Tex. Civ. Prac. & Rem. Code § 16.003). Miss it and your claim is usually gone. Claims against a government entity can run far shorter. Ask us where your deadline stands.
Want to know where your Houston crash claim stands right now? Get a free case review; you pay nothing unless we recover money for you.
I-45 is the nation’s second-deadliest highway, where 18-wheelers and stop-and-go traffic crowd your lane.
On the 610 Loop and the Katy Freeway, one truck drifting into your blind spot can end an ordinary drive.
Trucks frequent Sam Houston Tollway, and the US-290 merges leave no room.
Right after a Houston crash: call 911, get checked at Memorial Hermann or Ben Taub even if you feel fine, photograph everything, and give the other side’s insurer no recorded statement before you talk to a lawyer. From there, here is what we take off your plate.

Real pain, an ER visit, or missed work after a Houston wreck usually means yes. We give you a straight answer for free, so you are not guessing whether this is worth pursuing.
Memorial Hermann and Ben Taub are Houston’s Level I trauma centers, and their records carry weight. Went to urgent care instead? That still works. We pull the right records and tie your injuries to the crash.
If HPD worked your wreck, the CR-3 crash report posts online about ten days later. We pull it, and we tell you what it actually means for your case, not just hand you a PDF.
The other driver’s adjuster will call asking for a recorded statement; that call is built to hurt your claim. We handle it. You answer to no one but your own insurer, and we deal with the rest.
One call to J. Alexander Law, downtown Houston, hands us the report, the bills, and the adjuster. You heal. We fight.
The adjuster’s first number is a discount. Matthew Graham, who runs our litigation, spent a decade on insurance defense; he knows the math behind their offer before they do.
Their offer against your real losses: every bill, the missed work, the care still ahead. Falls short? You hear it from us first.
Texas trims your recovery by your share of the blame, and bars it past 50% (§ 33.001). We push back on how the adjuster pins that blame on you.
A second driver’s policy, an employer’s, an umbrella, the underinsured coverage they would rather you forget. When more is on the table, we go after it.
Releases, medical liens, payback clauses. We show you what you give up and your real in-pocket number before you sign.
Already have an offer, or expecting one? Send it over for a free workup. We will tell you if it is fair, light, or miles off.
Fault is the whole ballgame. Prove it, and the insurer has to pay; leave it murky, and they pay you less. We pull TxDOT crash records, Harris County CRIS data, and Houston’s camera and sensor networks to lock it down. Here is what we go after for each cause.
Phone records showing the phone was active at impact, infotainment data, and dashcam video of the driver’s eyes dropping to the screen.
BAC and toxicology results, bar receipts, and the officer’s field notes on slurred speech and failed sobriety tests; proof that holds up in DWI-heavy Harris County.
Black-box data, plus the skid marks and crush damage our experts use to reconstruct how fast they were really going on freeways like I-45 and I-10.
Intersection-camera footage and sworn eyewitnesses that catch a full-speed red-light or stop-sign run.
Work schedules, driver logs, and trip times that show how long they had been behind the wheel without rest.
Crush angles and paint transfer that map the merge into your lane, plus witnesses who saw no signal and no shoulder check.
A rear-end impact pattern and the reconstructed following distance that show the driver was too close to stop in time.
Weather records and speed data that show they drove too fast for Houston’s rain and standing water.
Whatever the cause, we turn every piece into a documented loss the insurer has to pay for. Tell us what happened.
A settlement is not a guess. Texas law lets you recover specific categories of loss, and three things move the final number most:
How bad your injuries are, and how long recovery takes
How clearly we can prove the other driver was at fault
How much insurance coverage is actually there to pay
You pay nothing unless we recover · Se habla español
Not every crash needs a lawyer. If you walked away from a parking-lot tap with no injuries and the other driver’s insurer pays the repair without a fight, hiring an attorney can cost you more than it returns. We will tell you that straight.
Here is the honest line.
That second list is where insurers fight hardest, because that is where the real money is. The moment a Houston adjuster sees a serious claim, their job becomes paying you less; ours becomes making the number match what you actually lost.
You might feel like hiring a lawyer is overkill, or that the fee will just eat your check. Plenty of Houston drivers felt the same. What they found is that a serious claim handled alone almost always settles for less than the same claim with a firm behind it, even after the fee.
Not sure which list you are in? A free review costs nothing, and we will tell you honestly whether you need a lawyer at all.
Start your free case review; no cost, and no fee unless we win.
This is the fear that keeps people from filing at all; the picture of testifying in front of a packed Houston courtroom. Here is the honest truth: the vast majority of Houston car accident cases settle, and most clients never see the inside of the Harris County courthouse.
Filing a lawsuit is not the same as going to trial. Think of it like booking a contractor and getting a written quote: most jobs settle on the quote, and going to court is the rare case you actually fight over. Most of what happens, happens without you in the room.
Worried about court? Talk to a Houston injury lawyer now; the call costs nothing, and we will tell you honestly what your case would ask of you.
The routine scheduling and check-in dates, the procedural appearances at the downtown Harris County courthouse, are ours to handle. You do not take off work to sit downtown while lawyers move paper.
You answer questions under oath at a Houston law office, not the courthouse, and we prepare you long before that day. For most clients, that is the extent of it.
A neutral mediator brings both sides to a table at a Houston office, and the case settles once the defense sees the full evidence. No jury, no witness stand. If the number is fair, we say so. The call to accept is always yours.
If the insurer will not pay fair value, we are ready to put your case in front of a Harris County jury. Most cases never get there. But a firm that will actually try the case is what keeps the offers before it fair.
Insurers open low and hope you sign. Here is the gap between their first move and what the case was really worth, in three real matters we resolved.

Usually, yes, as long as you are not found mostly at fault. Texas uses modified comparative fault, so you can recover as long as you are 50% or less to blame; the other side just gets to chip away at your share (the 51% bar, Tex. Civ. Prac. & Rem. Code § 33.001). Insurers push the blame onto you on purpose to shrink the check, and we push back with the crash report, witnesses, and scene evidence. Call us before you give their adjuster a statement.
Your own uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage can step in and pay. Texas requires only $30,000 in coverage per person, which rarely covers a serious crash, so we hunt down every policy that could apply; the at-fault driver’s, an employer’s if they were working, and your own. One call and we start finding the coverage.
A hit-and-run does not end your claim; your own uninsured motorist coverage is built for exactly this. Houston’s freeways see a high share of these, and we move fast to pull TxDOT and toll-tag cameras, 911 calls, and witness accounts to identify the driver while the trail is fresh. The sooner you call, the more of that evidence is still there.
Then their employer’s insurance is likely on the hook too, not just the driver’s. A delivery van, an 18-wheeler, or any vehicle driven for work usually carries far higher coverage, and the company will send investigators fast to limit what it pays. Those bigger policies are also why 18-wheeler and commercial-truck cases in Texas tend to be worth far more than a typical car crash. We move just as fast to preserve the truck’s data and logs. Tell us what hit you and we will find every party that owes you.
Yes; some serious injuries hide for a day or two behind the adrenaline. Memorial Hermann and Ben Taub are Houston’s Level I trauma centers and their records carry weight, but urgent care works too; what matters is getting checked and starting the paper trail that ties your injury to the crash. Get seen first, then call us.
