Sherri Hodge.
The first call you make.
The voice that stays with you.
Sherri Hodge has spent more than twenty-five years inside the personal injury practice. Not as a lawyer. As the person on the other end of the phone when a client calls in scared, hurt, and unsure what to do next. The role is called pre-litigation coordinator. The job is much bigger than that title makes it sound.
Before joining J. Alexander Law in 2018, Sherri worked with a number of leading personal injury firms in Texas. Each one taught her a different piece of the same puzzle; how to triage a fresh case, how to coordinate medical care for a client who has nowhere else to turn, how to keep a file moving while the carrier tries to slow it down.
She is known for the things that matter most in pre-litigation work; organizational rigor, attention to detail, and a deep grasp of how the early stages of an injury case actually unfold. The choices made in the first weeks after a crash; what gets documented, who gets called, when the medical record gets pulled; can decide what the case looks like a year later. That is the part of the practice Sherri runs.
Her philosophy is simple. The foundation of every successful case is built on trust and communication. The client picks up the phone and gets a real person who knows their name. That is the standard, every time, on every file.
A quarter century
inside the practice.
A Career Built in Personal Injury
Spent more than two and a half decades inside the personal injury sector. Not jumping between practice areas; staying in the room with injured clients and their families through every stage of the process.
Worked With Leading Personal Injury Firms
Built her career across some of the top personal injury firms in the region. Contributed to the success of countless cases. Saw enough variations of the same fact pattern to know exactly which moves matter early.
Pre-Litigation Mastery
Sharpened the discipline that not enough lawyers respect; pre-litigation. The phase where the case is built, not just filed. Medical coordination, documentation, communication with carriers, communication with clients. All of it.
Joined J. Alexander Law Firm
Came to J. Alexander Law in 2018. Brought a quarter century of pre-litigation experience and a single guiding belief; every client should feel important and be treated like family.
Pre-Litigation Coordinator, J. Alexander Law
Coordinates the firm’s pre-litigation operation. Sets the tone for client experience from intake forward; the part of the firm that the client experiences first, and feels most.
The work that runs behind the scenes.
The lawyers try the cases. Sherri builds the foundation those cases stand on. Pre-litigation is the unglamorous, decision-heavy phase of the work; the part that the carrier hopes the firm will rush. She does not.
The work before the lawsuit ever begins.
Most personal injury cases never see the inside of a courtroom. They settle. The size of that settlement is decided long before anyone files anything. It is decided in the weeks after the crash; in the medical records, in the demand package, in the timeline. Pre-litigation is where cases are won or quietly lost.

Family-First Philosophy
The standard at J. Alexander since 2018
The case starts the day we pick up the phone, not the day we file. If a client feels like a number on the first call, the file is already in trouble. Treat them like family. Then do the work like family.
